We are looking for an experienced Offshore Structural Engineer to support a major offshore Oil & Gas development based in Accra, Ghana.
The role will focus on the technical review and follow-up of structural engineering activities related to FPSO topside modules, existing FPSO structures, subsea structures, risers and sealines, covering detailed engineering as well as construction and offshore installation phases.
Location: Based at the project premises in Accra, Ghana, with the possibility of short business trips outside the Country

Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review structural analyses, engineering calculations and technical assessments for offshore structures, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Review structural engineering deliverables prepared by Contractors, including drawings, calculations, design reports and technical documentation, identifying potential errors, inconsistencies or design issues and ensuring appropriate technical corrections.
- Follow up the structural design of new FPSO topside modules and modifications to existing FPSO structures, including connections, deck reinforcements and hull-topside structural interaction.
- Provide structural engineering support for subsea structures, including PLEMs, PLETs and manifolds, as well as associated risers and sealines.
- Review structural aspects related to temporary and installation phases, including load-out, transportation and lifting.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with EPC, SPS and Transportation & Installation Contractors and with other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international offshore structural standards and practices, including API, AISC, DNV, ISO and Classification Society requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Naval or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within offshore Oil & Gas developments.
- Strong background in structural analysis and calculation for offshore and/or subsea structures.
- Proven experience in the detailed engineering of offshore structures, including installation and temporary phases.
- Experience with FPSO structural engineering, topside modules and/or subsea structures.
- Solid knowledge of major offshore structural codes and standards such as API, AISC, DNV and ISO.
- Ability to independently review, challenge and validate Contractor engineering deliverables, including structural calculations and drawings.
- Previous onshore and offshore field engineering experience is considered highly valuable.
