Scope of Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the Instrumentation & Control Field Engineering function supporting Operations &  Maintenance activities across Oil & Gas production facilities.
• Provide technical leadership for field instrumentation, process control systems, safety instrumented systems  (SIS), fire & gas systems and associated automation infrastructure.
• Act as the focal point between Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, Projects and Technical Authorities on all instrumentation and control matters.
• Ensure engineering support is effectively delivered to maintain instrumentation reliability, control system  availability and production performance.
• Lead engineering assessments and recommend solutions to improve control system performance, automation effectiveness and plant operability.
• Support lifecycle management of DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS and field instrumentation systems.
• Support Asset Integrity Management programs related to critical instrumentation and safety systems.
• Interface with vendors, OEMs, contractors and specialist service providers to resolve technical issues and optimize asset performance.
• Support annual budgeting processes and provide technical input for OPEX and CAPEX planning.
• Develop and mentor engineering personnel while promoting knowledge sharing and competency development.
• Prepare and present technical reports, performance metrics and management updates as required.
 

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering  discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas experience, including significant exposure to Operations & Maintenance  environments.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role within Engineering or Maintenance organizations.
• Strong understanding of Instrumentation Engineering, Process Control and Functional Safety principles.
• Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS and Fire & Gas Systems.
• Proven experience supporting brownfield operating facilities.
• Working knowledge of relevant international standards including IEC 61508, IEC 61511, IEC standards and ISO  requirements.
• Experience with Management of Change (MOC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk Assessment processes.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP PM, Maximo or equivalent.

• Previous experience working with international operators, EPC contractors or major service providers is preferred

Communication:
• Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills.
• English language proficiency is mandatory.
• Arabic language capability is considered advantageous.
• Ability to effectively communicate with management, operations personnel, clients and external stakeholders
