Lead Project Planner

Role Context:

Worley is seeking an experienced Lead EPCM Planner to lead the planning function for the Onshore Hydrogen Infrastructure Project in Denmark. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will lead the planning team and own the integrated project schedule, progress measurement and schedule forecast from FEED through execution and commissioning.

You'll be:

  • Lead the planning team, set priorities and ensure consistent, high-quality planning deliverables.
  • Own the integrated project schedule: Lead schedule development and maintenance from FEED through EPCM execution and commissioning. Establish the schedule hierarchy, work breakdown structure, coding, logic, calendars and interfaces. Integrate discipline and contractor schedules, key procurement dates, construction sequencing and commissioning requirements, with documented assumptions and constraints.
  • Require corrected planning submissions through agreed project and contractual channels where inputs do not meet requirements. Contractors retain ownership of their detailed schedules and execution obligations.
  • Maintain traceability between the approved baseline, current forecast and proposed changes.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated schedule, aligning engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and contractor interfaces.
  • Lead baseline development and schedule change control, submitting revisions through agreed approval processes.
  • Challenge discipline and contractor schedules, validate physical progress and provide evidence-based milestone forecasts and critical path analysis.
  • Drive mitigation and recovery planning with delivery owners, track actions and escalate unresolved schedule threats.
  • Lead schedule reporting and reviews, working with Cost Control to align progress and earned value analysis. Delivery accountability remains with delivery owners; cost forecasts and contractual approvals remain with the respective authorised functions.

You'll have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Substantial planning experience on large onshore EPC pipeline projects, including demonstrated leadership of an EPC/EPCM planning function.
  • Previous experience in detailed planning, levels 4 and 5.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills and strong expertise in integrated scheduling, baseline control, critical path analysis, progress measurement and earned value management.
  • Experience assuring contractor schedules, assessing time impacts and developing credible recovery plans.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, lead across disciplines and present clear recommendations to project leadership and customers.
  • Practical experience with Excel and Power BI, and a commitment to safety, quality and professional integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop planners, set clear expectations and hold contributors accountable for planning deliverables.
