Repair Technician

Clean, repair and resurface equipment that has been removed from the field and assist in preparing equipment to go to the field.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES

• Prepare equipment for repairing by pressure washing, blasting, painting etc.
• Check all structural and mechanical components for defects
• Make any necessary repairs and replace broken parts
• Calibrate equipment and paint exterior surfaces
• Assist in shipping and inventory related matters
• Assist in training new shop personnel
• Provide assistance to others in difficult repair tasks
• Knowledge of rig floor and pressure control equipment
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures​​​​​​​

Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 4 years heavy equipment manufacturing or repair experience
• Minimum 4 years hydraulic experience, either in manufacturing or repair

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Mechanically inclined 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Excellent people skills with the ability to be a team-player 

• Great verbal and oral communication skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Physically able to stand, bend, lift items over head, and crouch for short periods Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours per day

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Ability to read electrical schematics 1-3 years experience with hydraulics
