Manage project documentation and compliance across global projects

Are you interested in ensuring project documentation is accurate, organised, and accessible throughout the project lifecycle? As a Document Controller within NKT, you will support complex projects that contribute to the green transition by managing document control processes and collaborating with teams across an international organisation. Could this be the next step in your career?

Ensure accurate documentation throughout project lifecycles

As a Document Controller, you will manage, track, and organise project documentation in line with company standards and client requirements. You will help ensure that documents are accurate, up to date, and readily available to relevant stakeholders. Working closely with project teams and external partners, you will support efficient document handling, compliance, and project delivery through structured document control processes.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Maintain and manage electronic document management systems such as M-files, ThinkProject!, Aconex, SharePoint and Procore.
  • Register, track, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Ensure document formatting, version control, and naming conventions are followed.
  • Coordinate document submissions and approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare document status reports and support audits and project reviews.
  • Create and maintain document registers including all relevant document properties

This position is based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with a hybrid working arrangement. You will be part of the Document Control department and work closely with project teams and stakeholders across the organisation.

Detail-focused individual with solid organization skills

You are a structured and consistent person who enjoys maintaining order in complex environments. You pay close attention to detail, communicate clearly with different stakeholders, and manage priorities effectively. You value accuracy and consistency while supporting colleagues in maintaining efficient document workflows. You are comfortable working collaboratively in an international environment and contributing to high-quality project delivery.

You also have:

  • A diploma or degree in administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in document control.
  • Experience working within engineering or construction environments.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office.
