The opportunity

 Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.

We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

How you’ll make an impact
1. You will lead the project team, establish the approach for service, maintenance and troubleshooting activities, oversee factory interface and site work planning, and conduct monitoring and control of both internal and external resources to achieve all service and maintenance project goals.
2. You will define project and task plan documents covering project scope, financial plans, schedules and risk management plans.
3. You will ensure project execution follows industry best practices and GI-GPQSS PES Service policies, effectively monitor and control overall project progress, regularly analyze project critical paths to ensure critical activities and milestones progress in line with planned schedules, notify the Operations Manager of any deviations or scheduling issues and implement resource optimization measures, issue regular project progress reports, updates and productivity data, prepare and deliver materials for project reviews, analyze plan versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Operations Manager, monitor project cost, expenses and cash flow, oversee and manage invoice requests based on project payment milestones, identify, qualify, quantify and manage project risks while exploring and pursuing potential project opportunities, capture, analyze and share project lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle, ensure formal project closure in accordance with contractual agreements, and drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out and customer acknowledgement.
4. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

1. Knowledge – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ experience in a similar role; preferably holds nationally and or internationally recognized project management training and certifications – e.g. PMP,

2. Skills – Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel; Proficient maintaining schedules for projects using recognized project scheduling tools; Proficient organizer; Ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders.

3. Experience – 3-5 years in a similar role – e.g. Associate Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Engineer

4. Experience – Project management for construction of the high voltage substation would be better.
