Job Description:

  • Manage the operation, maintenance, testing and inspection of fire protection systems within mission-critical data centre facilities.
  • Ensure reliability, compliance and operational readiness of fire protection systems to safeguard personnel, assets and business continuity.
  • Support preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities for wet-pipe sprinkler, pre-action sprinkler, fire alarm and aspirating smoke detection systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors and authorities on fire protection works, audits, inspections and system upgrades.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for fire-related system events.
  • Participate in site operations, projects, commissioning activities and emergency response preparedness.
  • Lead fire protection system commissioning, RI Inspection , integrated testing, cause-and-effect verification with contractors

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fire protection systems, facilities management, mission-critical facilities, industrial plants or data centres.
  • Experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Knowledge of local codes, standards and regulatory requirements related to fire protection systems is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Wet-Pipe and Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems.
  • Working knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems, detection devices, notification systems and Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP).
  • Familiarity with Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) systems for critical environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, method statements and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Good troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage contractors and service providers safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and business continuity requirements within data centre environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.
  • Understanding of critical facility operations where system uptime and reliability are essential.
  • Appreciation of fire safety risks and mitigation measures within data centre environments.
  • Contribute to operational excellence, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, safety and maintenance efficiency.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with ENGIE's safety standards and operational requirements.
