Chevron Global Business Services (GBS), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting applications for the position of Release Train Engineer.
The ERP Release Manager is responsible for governing and coordinating the end-to-end release lifecycle across SAP environments, including ECC and S/4HANA. The role ensures the successful planning, execution, and deployment of ongoing support releases, enhancement projects, upgrades, migration activities, and emergency fixes while minimizing business disruption. Working closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and business partners, this position drives release excellence, compliance, risk management, and continuous process improvement across the SAP landscape.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary servant leader and facilitator for the ERP Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring alignment, collaboration, and execution across multiple SAP and ERP teams.
- Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning activities, ensuring business priorities, strategic objectives, dependencies, and team commitments are aligned.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among SAP Functional Teams, Development Teams, BASIS, QA, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, Product Management, and Business Stakeholders.
- Lead and facilitate ART ceremonies, including ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events.
- Monitor and track delivery progress against PI Objectives, milestones, roadmap commitments, and business outcomes.
- Identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate program-level risks, issues, dependencies, and organizational impediments impacting ERP delivery.
- Drive transparency through program metrics, dashboards, reporting, and communication of delivery status to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Promote Agile, Lean, and SAFe best practices, fostering continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivery excellence across the ART.
- Support governance processes by ensuring alignment between execution activities, business priorities, and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate planning and execution activities supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration programs, ERP modernization efforts, and other transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate retrospectives, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and lessons learned sessions to improve delivery predictability, quality, and team effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ART-level communications, ensuring transparency and alignment across ERP stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile Program Delivery, Release Train Engineering, ERP Program Management, Technology Transformations, or related leadership roles.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP environments, including ECC and/or S/4HANA implementations, support organizations, or transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Agile, SAFe, Lean, and enterprise delivery methodologies.
- Experience facilitating multi-team planning, dependency management, execution tracking, and stakeholder alignment activities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications within complex global organizations and matrixed delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration, ERP modernization, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of SAFe, Agile, Lean, DevOps, Value Stream Management, and related delivery methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, SAP Solution Manager, or similar delivery planning and program management tools.
- Understanding of SAP landscapes, ERP delivery models, enterprise architecture principles, and cross-team dependency management.
- Experience driving Agile adoption, organizational change, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Scrum Master, Agile, or related professional certifications are preferred.
