Inspect in-process and finished fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks, components, and related assemblies to verify conformance with approved drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements. Document inspection results, identify and control nonconforming product, and work with production and Quality personnel to support safe, compliant production and timely resolution of quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of FRP tanks, components, and assemblies in accordance with approved inspection plans, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Verify applicable dimensions, fit-up, workmanship, materials, markings, and required records using approved methods and calibrated or verified inspection equipment.
  • Inspect FRP laminate and finished surfaces for specified characteristics such as thickness, dimensions, visual condition, and other acceptance criteria defined by the governing documents.
  • Record inspection results clearly and promptly in the required forms or electronic systems; maintain accurate product and material traceability.
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances. Identify or apply product status controls as authorized, and support containment, reinspection, and corrective-action activities. Do not approve deviations or repairs outside assigned authority.
  • Communicate inspection status and quality concerns promptly to the Quality lead and appropriate production personnel.
  • Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good condition; report damaged, overdue, or out-of-calibration equipment and do not use it for acceptance decisions.
  • Wear appropriate PPE.
  • Comply with all NOV HSE, Company, and Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or inspection is preferred
  • FRP/composite manufacturing experience is an asset.
