Join us and help run what runs the world. **This position reports to:** Service Projects Lead Manager __ At ABB (Electrification Services), we are continuously looking to connect with talented Field Service Engineers to support our growing service business across the UAE. By joining our talent pool, you will be considered for current and future opportunities supporting customers across industries through commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliability, and efficient operation of customer installations while delivering exceptional service experience. The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification in UAE. You will be mainly accountable for - Execute commissioning, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and retrofit activities for electrical distribution and automation systems. - Perform on-site service activities in accordance with ABB safety standards, customer requirements, and project specifications. - Analyze system performance, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to restore equipment operation. - Verify electrical installations, wiring, communication networks, and system configurations during commissioning and service activities. - Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities on medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear systems. - Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and system handovers. - Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and customer sign-off documents following site visits. - Collaborate with project managers, service managers, engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and end users to ensure successful project execution. - Provide technical guidance and training to customers and colleagues when required. - Identify opportunities to improve system performance, service delivery, and customer satisfaction. - Support the growth of ABB's service business by building strong customer relationships and identifying potential service opportunities. **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in field service, commissioning, maintenance, or testing of electrical power distribution systems. - Experience working with medium-voltage and low-voltage switchgear systems. - Strong knowledge of electrical protection, control systems, relays, circuit breakers, and power distribution equipment. - Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. - Understanding of site safety standards, permit-to-work processes, and safe working practices. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. - Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites across the region. - Preferred to have experience on MV Switchgear (AIS, GIS, RMU),LV Switchgear (MCC, PCC),ABB MNS and MNS Digital systems, Protection and motor management relays, Communication networks and industrial protocols, Power system commissioning and testing or Substation and industrial electrical installations **What's in it for you?** We empower you to take initiative, challenge ideas, and lead with confidence.
